I am sorry I even spent .99 on it. I hate to be a Negative Nancy on the past few books I have bought. But it seems I have been getting duds lately.The writer refers to the characters in third person point of view? Cassie sat on the bench, Cassie was looking at XYZ. It was just weird to me I guess I have been reading too many books in the first person it just threw me off?
The time travel seemed like it was just thrown in there just for the sake of being thrown in there. With a brief paragraph sprinkled here and there about it.
I know it is a romance time travel but it just seemed too easy/too simple. And she fell in love pretty easily because he was so good looking.
Personally, I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone. This book just didn't do it for me.

I love time travel stories and this one is fun, I love the journal pages at the end. I also enjoyed the chemistry between the main characters
What a wonderful story. Loved the characters and story line. Wonderful romance and very steamy love scenes. Just the way I like them. Just a wonderful romantic read.

This was a truly beautiful, romantic, and wonderful book. I mean really what more could you ask for? WELL maybe a whitmans choc sampler, and a lazy boy rocker!!!!!!!!!!!!!! REALLY PEOPLE READ THIS BOOK!
This was a fun time-travelling romance book. As with most, there are times when you think "no way would that be acceptable at the time," but it had fewer of those moments than most back-in-time stories i've read have had. I also particularly enjoyed how the author wrapped up the ending. It didn't come as a surprise, but it was still a neat ending.
I gave this a full four stars. The author did a fair job - but I think she left out several important facts which if included, I would have rated this book a full five stars. I think she should have provided a better background on her Character's Family as well as her Character's Husband's Family. I don't think there was any more than perhaps ten pages on some early background as well as her Husbands. Other than that, I feel it was well done and an interesting read. I do not plan to divulge any additional information as the next Reader should go about arriving at his/her conclusion after their review. Thank you for your attention.
This a book that has many good points, yet as many problems. While I liked both characters tremendously and was routing for their HEA, there just wasn't enough conflict. Everything came too easily for them with nothing climatic at the end. At times, the author depicted her chosen era well with plenty of details that warmed my historical heart, but other times it seemed a bit too modern. While I know shampoo has been around since 1866, it still jarred me out of the story, as well as showers and such. This is the first book I've read written in 1st person present tense, and I feel that past tense would have worked much better. For a debut novel, it was good, and I'm glad I read it. It's well worth my time and money.
